About Course

Course Objectives

This module provides learners with the fundamental knowledge and skills required in server-side development. It will also cover the integration of back-end system with databases, possibly external systems as well as consuming data from web application protocol interfaces (APIs) Towards the end of the module, it may also introduce to the learners how their knowledge in server-side development can be applied in applications with various front-end interfaces; this allows learners to flexibly apply their server-side development concepts and skills learnt in developing back-end systems of various uses.

Course Description

Server-Side Development - Part of Modular Certificate in Back-End Development (DFSD) is a 90hrs module. In this module, you will:
1. Gain fundamental knowledge and skills in server-side development.
2. Learn to integrate back-end systems with databases and possibly external systems.
3. Consume data from web application protocol interfaces (APIs).
4. Explore how server-side development knowledge can be applied to applications with various front-end interfaces.
5. Flexibly apply server-side development concepts and skills to develop back-end systems for various uses.
