About Course

Course Objectives

Building HR Foundations module provides learners with a comprehensive understanding of the key HR functions essential for managing the employee lifecycle effectively in today’s dynamic workplace. learners will explore trends shaping the Future of Work, including diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and develop practical skills in talent attraction, acquisition, and onboarding to enhance candidate experience and build diverse talent pipelines. The module also covers talent management and development, rewards management, employee engagement, compensation and benefits administration, and managing employee separations. Through a blend of theoretical frameworks and hands-on practice, learners will gain the knowledge and competencies to implement HR strategies that drive organizational effectiveness, foster an inclusive culture, and support employee growth and retention.

Course Description

By the end of this module, learners will be able to:
-State the emerging trends in the Future of Work and their implications for HR practices, including DEI.
-Design and implement strategies for talent attraction, acquisition, and onboarding that enhance candidate experience and support diverse talent pipelines.
-Develop and manage talent development initiatives, including training programs, succession planning, performance management, and coaching, to support employee growth and organizational objectives.
-Administer rewards, recognition, compensation, and benefits systems to motivate employees, foster inclusion, and enhance organizational effectiveness.
-Manage employee separations professionally and ethically, including offboarding, exit interviews, and retirement planning, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
-Apply the HR Body of Competencies and Skills Framework for career planning, continuous learning, and professional development in HR.

Building HR Foundations module provides learners with a comprehensive understanding of the key HR functions essential for managing the employee lifecycle effectively in today’s dynamic workplace. learners will explore trends shaping the Future of Work, including diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and develop practical skills in talent attraction, acquisition, and onboarding to enhance candidate experience and build diverse talent pipelines. The module also covers talent management and development, rewards management, employee engagement, compensation and benefits administration, and managing employee separations. A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to learner who achieve at least 75% attendance and pass all required assessment(s).

A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to learner who meet the 75% attendance requirement.

At least a pass grade in 'N' level English Language/NITEC.

Refund and withdrawal policy

  • Please note that a 100% refund will be available if the withdrawal request is submitted more than or equal to 14 days before the course start date.
  • Please note that a 50% refund will be available if the withdrawal request is submitted less than 14 days before the course start date.
  • Please note that no refund will be available if the withdrawal request is submitted on or after the course start date.

Remarks

SkillsFuture Credit (SFC) can only be used to cover:
(i) Course fees payable;
(ii) Assessment fees which are part of the course;
(iii) Certification fees which are part of the course; and
(iv) GST imposed on components supported for SFC use.

Penalty charges apply if you:
(i) are absent/no-show;
(ii) withdraw from a course within 14 days of the course start date;
(iii) fail to meet terms and conditions for funding eligibility.

SFC cannot be used to offset penalty charges imposed by Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
